gnome-shell-extension-onboard software package provides GNOME-Shell extension for the on-screen keyboard Onboard, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-shell-extension-onboard
gnome-shell-extension-onboard is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-shell-extension-onboard package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-shell-extension-onboard *
You will get with gnome-shell-extension-onboard package name, version, architecture and description in a table
